Carlisle to Isle of Man

Ugh, the shits were back with a vengeance this morning. As we had to check out of the lodge by 10:00 I had to leave it to the ladies to pack and load the car while I was camped in the bathroom once again.

I didn’t feel like I was any condition to concentrate on motorway driving so I persuaded my wife to drive back to Heysham, stopping off at motorway services for me as required.

As we were ahead of time for the boat we went via Morcombe and stopped off for a quick skeet at The Midland hotel (the toilets were quite nice!) before heading on to Heysham for the boat home.
